What Is Sin?
Sin in the original hebrew (khata) literally means “to fail” or “to miss the mark”. In the spiritual context, man has all sinned because we have fallen short of God’s expectations.

Why does God hate Sin?
How is physical death related to spiritual death?
The Bible has a great deal to say about death and, more importantly, what happens after death. Physical death and spiritual death are both a separation of one thing from another. Physical death is the separation of the soul from the body, and spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God. When understood in that way, the two concepts are very closely related, and both physical death and spiritual death are reflected in the very first references to death.

Why is being a good person not enough to get you into heaven?

Does God love me?
Not only does God love you, but He himself is Love itself. We love because He first loved us and God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Is Jesus dead or alive?
When God raised Jesus from the dead, His spirit rejoined His body, which was now a glorified body (Philippians 3:21). Paul wrote that more than five hundred people saw Jesus after His resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:6). The New Testament was written by eyewitnesses who had seen for themselves that Jesus was truly alive and was in the flesh.
Jesus is still alive today. He rose bodily from the dead, and He ascended bodily into heaven. Acts 1 recounts how, forty days after the resurrection, Jesus’ disciples were with Him when He suddenly began to rise into the air. They stared in amazement as He kept going and disappeared from sight (Acts 1:9–11). Jesus had predicted that He would return to the Father, and that is exactly what He did (John 14:1–2; John 20:17).

He died and was resurrected after 3 days, proving that our sins were indeed righteously forgiven. The way to heaven is through Jesus, not by good works, lest anyone might boast.

Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important?
How can I receive forgiveness from God?
Forgiveness of your sins is available if you will place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior. Ephesians 1:7 says, “In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” Jesus paid our debt for us, so we could be forgiven. All you have to do is ask God to forgive you through Jesus, believing that Jesus died to pay for your forgiveness – and He will forgive you! John 3:16-17 contains this wonderful message, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

Is Jesus the only way to Heaven?
Why can't I earn my way into Heaven by doing good works?
The bible clearly says that we are saved by Grace, through Faith. The bible also says that man’s good works are as filthy rags to God. Imagine that you committed a crime and you stand before the judge. A righteous judge cannot let you off just because you donated money, or helped the poor.

God’s nature is righteousness. This means that he has to give righteous judgments.
Since the consequence of sin is death, it would be unrighteous if God did not give you the death judgment.
If a judge gives you a fine, you are free as long as you pay the fine.
And even if someone pays the fine for you, you are free to go.
This is exactly why Jesus had to die for us. He paid the fine that we could not pay on our own.
The way to heaven cannot be earned. It can only be graciously given and gratefully received.

Love, and God bless.
God hates sin because it is the very antithesis of His nature. The psalmist describes God’s hatred of sin this way: “For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; no evil dwells with You” (Psalm 5:4). God hates sin because He is holy; holiness is the most exalted of all His attributes (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 6:8). His holiness totally saturates His being. His holiness epitomizes His moral perfection and His absolute freedom from blemish of any kind (Psalm 89:35; 92:15; Romans 9:14).
